OK, I
hate starting the weekend with *** news. But we do have it here in East Oak
Lane. 15 car have been broken into. This has happened over the last 2 weeks in
our neighborhood. These are the only the ones that have been
reported. I have had (2) neighbors tell me that they did not
report theirs.
Here's
the latest one I received this morning
"Hi
everyone, This is just an FYI. Last evening between 9 and 9:30PM someone broke
into 2 of our vehicles which were parked in the driveway. Both have alarms which
did not go off. They managed to unlock the doors without breaking anything and
stole an IPod and some cash which were in the glove
compartments"
Beginning
this Friday April 4th (4:30 - 7:30 p.m.) we will be playing 5 on 5
Youth Flag Football at Sturgess (Baseball Field). This is a fun experiment.
Our Hope is that in the Fall, we will be able to have a full
neighborhood league with 4-6 teams over a 10 week time Frame. But for
the Spring. We will round up kids from our community (boys and girls)
as well as any adults who would like to coach and/or supervise and we
learn how to play. We have footballs and Flags. Could use some:
Plastic Cones
Scrimmage Vests (2 colors)
A few more adults to learn how to play

Weclome to the newest addition to the East Oak Lane community on Philadelphia's North Side. While we're just getting this website off the ground, we have big plans over then next days and weeks, so make sure you visit often to find out the latest. For one thing, we want to keep our neighborhood up-to-date on everything that is going on so we can all work together to make our community the safest and best possible place in the city. We'd also like to keep everyone aware of opportunities and events.
Once our site is completed, we'll ask members of our community to sign up for a free account. This create a safer place for our online experience and will let us network together. There will be places to post your thoughts and listen to others, highlights on events and opportunities in the area, news, articles, info on town meetings and more.
